In 2018 Macmahon migrated from Microsoft Dynamics AX to SAP S/4 HANA Finance. SAP S/4 HANA Finance is positioned in the ERP Financial category to centralize corporate finance, statutory accounting, and financial reporting across the organization.
The implementation focused on core financial modules including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset accounting, cash management, and financial close orchestration. Configuration and automation work emphasized chart of accounts harmonization, standardized period end workflows, and embedded control frameworks consistent with ERP Financial functional requirements.
Deployment used a S/4HANA cloud based delivery of SAP S/4 HANA Finance to provide a single finance instance for corporate and project accounting. The architecture leverages SAP HANA in memory processing to support transactional finance and close activities, and integrations were scoped to existing operational systems and enterprise data sources to consolidate financial master data and transactional feeds.
Governance adjustments established centralized finance process ownership and standardized month end and compliance workflows to align with the new system. SAP highlighted MacMahon Holdings as an S/4HANA Cloud customer in the first quarter, and vendor reporting noted that S/4HANA had more than 8,300 customers, up 43 percent year on year.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Compensation | Compensation Management | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, Macmahon implemented SAP SuccessFactors Compensation to consolidate pay processes and support enterprise Compensation Management workflows across HR and reward functions. The deployment targeted compensation planning, approval workflows and pay governance for both salaried and wages populations, aligning compensation planning with broader HR process standardization.
During a Phase 2 program running from December 2019 to September 2020, Employee Central was extended with Time Off and Document Generation while PMGM, Compensation and Succession modules were developed in parallel. Project activities included three iterations of design workshops to create Document Generation templates and define Time Off configurations for Australia and Indonesia, with document scope including six templates for salaried and wages employment change advices and statements of service.
Time Off design covered time types, time accounts, time profiles and holiday calendars across Australia and Indonesia, and the team designed Roles Based Permissions to control sensitive remuneration data for staff and wages populations in Indonesia. The program implemented a Time Off integration to ingest time account balances from Chris21 into Employee Central, developed custom MDF portlets for Licences and Qualifications, and executed data migration for Time Off and Remuneration datasets followed by system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
A cutover plan transitioned Employee Central into the live production environment from Phase 1, with Employee Central Time Off and Document Generation going live on 10 Aug 2020 and four weeks of hypercare provided to address urgent change requests and enhancements. Governance emphasized workshop driven design, role based permission models and staged testing cycles to support Compensation Management and adjacent HR processes across Australia and Indonesia.
