Infor Legacy Infor VISUAL Manufacturing ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, Madison Industries implemented Infor VISUAL as its Manufacturing ERP to centralize accounting and administrative support for executive leadership. The deployment focused on corporate finance and office functions supporting the President and Vice President, and operated within a manufacturing context servicing three sets of books. Infor VISUAL was adopted as the primary accounting system to manage full charge accounting tasks including accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, sales tax and financial reporting. Configuration work emphasized full cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable across three separate books, general ledger reconciliation, fixed asset accounting, bank deposit processing and cash application workflows. Operational processes executed inside Infor VISUAL included A/R aging driven weekly cash flow forecasting, reconciliation of credit card, petty cash and bank statements, and management of preliminary and mechanics lien notices. The implementation also centralized multi state tax compliance, with compilation, processing and remittance of State Sales and Use taxes on monthly and quarterly bases for eight states, tying the Manufacturing ERP platform to the companys compliance and cash management processes. Governance adjustments accompanied the rollout, with one accounting clerk supervised for day to day transaction processing, task assignment, work review and participation in training for new staff. Responsibility for receivables, payables and cash operations was concentrated within Infor VISUAL to streamline administrative support and financial control for Madison Industries.
