| Serrala | Legacy | Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable | AP Automation | ERP | n/a | 2008 | 2008 |
In 2008, Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals implemented Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable. Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable is an AP Automation solution used to centralize invoice processing, enforce AP controls, and standardize payment workflows across the finance organization.
The implementation focused on core accounts payable capabilities including invoice review and validation, holds management and release workflows, exception handling, and AP customer service case resolution. The team used the application to process and route logistic and utility invoices, support month end AP reporting, and handle expense reimbursement workflows that were tested alongside the Concur expense reporting rollout.
Operational integration was coordinated with SAP and the AP Process Tracking Solution Dolphin, with project staff noted as integral members of those implementation efforts. The program also included practical coordination with Concur testing activities and Sage 50 Procure to Pay user training, enabling linkage between invoice processing, expense reporting, and procure to pay steps across the company.
Governance work emphasized establishing payment procedures and a document management approach for a corporate spin off, training end users in Procure to Pay processes, and developing internal and vendor-facing processes to release invoices on hold through problem solving, troubleshooting, and negotiation. Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable supported AP customer service, month end accounting support, and responses to internal and external audit requests.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP Fieldglass | Contingent Labor Management | HCM | Ernst & Young | 2017 | 2018 |
In 2017 Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals began Project Endeavor Phase 2, which included implementation planning and deployment of SAP Fieldglass for Contingent Labor Management as part of a consolidated Specialty Brands ERP program. Ernst & Young served as the systems integrator for the SAP Fieldglass implementation that was executed alongside a greenfield SAP S/4HANA 1610 rollout.
The SAP Fieldglass deployment focused on Contingent Labor Management capabilities typical to the category, including vendor management and supplier onboarding, services procurement and statement of work workflows, and contingent workforce sourcing and time capture processes. Configuration work emphasized standardization of contingent workforce procedures to align with the program goal of a single global ERP instance and to support redesigned process flows across the business.
SAP Fieldglass was implemented within an integrated SAP application landscape, going live concurrently with SAP S/4HANA 1610, SAP Cloud Platform, SAP IBP, SAP BPC, and SAP Analytics Cloud on May 1 2018. Architecture and integration design used the SAP Cloud Platform to coordinate master data, procurement events, and transactional handoffs between SAP Fieldglass and the S/4HANA core, enabling contingent labor transactions to flow into finance and planning systems for downstream reporting and planning use cases.
Project Endeavor Phase 2 encompassed a complete redesign of more than 240 business processes that began in mid July 2017 and progressed through a controlled rollout culminating in the May 2018 go live. Governance centered on centralized process ownership for Specialty Brands with program-level coordination across HR and procurement to operationalize SAP Fieldglass, and Ernst & Young led detailed design, configuration, and rollout activities within that governance framework.

| IBM | Legacy | IBM Maximo | Enterprise Asset Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2012 | 2012 |
In 2012, Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals deployed IBM Maximo as its Enterprise Asset Management platform to support plant maintenance across seven pharmaceutical plants. The implementation centered on IBM Maximo Plant Maintenance to unify maintenance processes and serve as the primary asset and work order repository.
Functional scope included plant maintenance modules, standardized reporting, and structured data import capabilities. The team created Business Object Structures for importing data using flat files into IBM Maximo, and a chief report writer role established standardized reports and data extracts for maintenance operations.
Integrations were explicitly maintained with the company ERP systems and with SFTP sites to automate file exchanges and transactional synchronization. The deployment operated as a central IBM Maximo instance supporting seven sites, with the IS Maintenance Software Team managing and maintaining application interfaces to ERP and SFTP endpoints.
Governance followed the Proper SDIM lifecycle, with active participation in software audits, creation of new guidelines and testing documents for plants, and formalized training for new colleagues on report writing, interfaces, SDIM process, and business system support. The Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management implementation emphasizes centralized interface ownership, structured import processes, and documented governance for maintenance software support.
