Configuration emphasized centralized employee master data, role-based access for HR advisors and site leadership, and configurable HR forms and reporting to support tracking of attendance, turnover and retention metrics.
Governance was organized around the Human Resources Manager and site HR advisors, with SAP HCM used to operationalize HR planning, budget administration and continuous improvement programs. The system supported execution of corporate programs such as succession planning, orientation and performance appraisal processes, and reinforced disciplined HR workflows for the site leadership teams to drive consistent people management practices across operations.

Operational coverage included leading plant level deployments and supporting integration of complementary technologies such as mobile access, smart glasses, automated visual scheduling tools, and asset intelligence management to ensure field mobility and asset data flow into SAP Enterprise Asset Management. Deployments were coordinated from the Maple Leaf Consumer Foods organization, including activity based out of Mississauga ON, with execution across 25 plus production sites.
Governance emphasis centered on establishing CMMS data governance and maintenance planning best practices, coaching and capability building for reliability activities, and embedding Equipment Criticality and Risk Analysis, Preventive Maintenance Optimization, and Maintenance Work Management into standard operating practices. Maple Leaf Foods SAP Enterprise Asset Management serves as the core Enterprise Asset Management platform supporting maintenance, reliability engineering, and work management functions across the company.
