SAP Legacy SAP ERP ECC 6.0 ERP Financial ERP n/a 2009 2010
In 2009, Marchon Eyewear implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as an ERP Financial application. The global implementation included the SAP Apparel Footwear Solution version 6.3 and engaged Sales and Distribution consulting to align commercial processes with industry specific master data and order management requirements. Configuration work emphasized SAP AFS capabilities and the SD module to support apparel specific master data, size color material hierarchies, pricing and order to cash workflows. Financial modules consistent with an ERP Financial deployment, including FI and CO, were configured to handle general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable and cost accounting, with template configurations for global master data and localized tax and statutory variants. Operational coverage was global, spanning commercial, finance and distribution functions with rollout coordination across regional business units. Integrations centered on synchronizing order to cash, inventory valuation and financial close processes within the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 landscape and with peripheral systems supporting manufacturing and distribution channels. Governance focused on centralized configuration control and standardized process models to ensure consistent financial reporting and commercial operations across Marchon sites.

SAP Legacy SAP Apparel and Footwear (SAP AFS) Retail Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2009 2010
In 2009 Marchon Eyewear initiated a multi-site deployment of SAP Apparel and Footwear (SAP AFS) for Retail Management to standardize warehouse operations. The engagement spanned November 2009 through May 2010 and was executed with SAP WM co-lead responsibilities during the blueprint, design and unit test phases. The implementation concentrated on SAP AFS functionality to address complex inbound receiving, inventory storage and outbound shipping requirements, with core configuration and process design scaled to support nine distribution sites. Custom RF and GUI transactions were developed to extend SAP AFS and SAP WM capabilities for hands-on warehouse tasks, supporting RF scanning workflows and tailored user interfaces for warehouse operators. Operational coverage included all warehouse operations across the nine sites, aligning SAP Apparel and Footwear (SAP AFS) Retail Management functionality with site-level localization requirements. The project team conducted a localization assessment to capture unique site constraints, then applied a centralized configuration baseline with localized variants to satisfy individual site needs without fragmenting the core configuration. Governance and delivery followed a structured blueprint to unit test progression, with the SAP WM co-lead role accountable for design validation, test scripts and cutover readiness across the nine-site footprint. Process design emphasized standardized inbound, storage and outbound workflows within SAP AFS, enabling consistent operational procedures and system-driven transaction handling across the Marchon Eyewear warehouse network.
