In 2015 MarkLogic implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP as its ERP Financial platform. The deployment covered Finance and Accounting, Professional Services, Sales Operations and HR in the United States and aligned the cloud ERP with corporate financial and services operations.
The implementation configured core financial management capabilities typical of an ERP Financial system, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and billing. Professional services workflows were extended by integrating Oracle NetSuite ERP with OpenAir to support project accounting and service revenue processes. Custom scripting and workflow automation were developed to meet specific business unit requirements and to enforce finance and services operational controls.
Integrations were built to ADP for payroll and to SFDC for CRM synchronization, implemented as API based interfaces augmented with custom integration code. The overall architecture emphasized a cloud native NetSuite deployment with API mediated data flows between Oracle NetSuite ERP, OpenAir, ADP and SFDC. Synchronization work focused on payroll feeds, transactional finance records and CRM derived sales and order information for downstream billing and recognition.
A Senior NetSuite Architect led the extensions and ongoing maintenance from September 2015 onward, working directly with Finance, Professional Services, Sales Operations and HR to design custom code, workflows and integration maintenance processes. Governance and operational handoffs were structured around cross functional coordination for configuration requests, prioritized change control and release updates for the Oracle NetSuite ERP environment.
