In 2021, Marmosim implemented TotalSoft Charisma Asset Management as its Enterprise Asset Management solution to centralize tracking of tangible and intangible assets across its Construction and Real Estate operations in Romania. The deployment addressed fixed assets, inventory assets and depreciable intangibles such as software, licenses, patents and trademarks, and was positioned to support finance and accounting workflows alongside operational asset handling.
TotalSoft Charisma Asset Management provides a structured Assets Management Module that records fixed asset sheet data including values, methods of acquisition, type of property and technical characteristics. The implementation included functionality for monthly and accumulated depreciations, multiple parallel depreciation plans and multiple systems of depreciation such as linear, accelerated and degressive methods, and it manages changes in structure, increases and decreases in value, location and cost centre.
The solution explicitly liaises with other business modules to maintain accounting allocations and to populate the Fixed Assets Register, enabling allocation by locations, departments and cost centres. Operational coverage emphasized monitoring of transfers, upgrades and dismantlements, definition of classes and groups of fixed assets to determine common characteristics and a history of changes across the asset life cycle.
Governance work centered on establishing the Fixed Assets Register as the authoritative record for any important business entity and embedding workflows for revaluations and legal or policy driven adjustments. Reported benefits of the TotalSoft Charisma Asset Management deployment include accurate recording and allocation by location and cost centre and accurate calculation of depreciations based on multiple, parallel depreciation plans, while the system maintains audit history and lifecycle tracking for fixed and intangible assets.
