SAP SAP Business One SAP R/3 ERP Financial ERP Unirez 2013 2013
In 2013 Martinrea Honsel Germany GmbH implemented SAP R/3 to standardize core accounting and financial processes as its ERP Financial platform. The project migrated finance operations from SAP Business One and established SAP R/3 as the primary ledger and transactional engine for the companys Germany manufacturing sites, with Unirez acting as the system integrator for planning and delivery. The SAP R/3 deployment focused on finance and controlling modules typical for ERP Financial implementations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting, cost center and profit center controlling, and statutory financial reporting. Configuration work emphasized chart of accounts harmonization, period end close sequencing, intercompany accounting, and automated posting rules to support manufacturing-related cost flows. Architecturally the implementation followed a centralized SAP R/3 instance model for German operations, with data migration and master data harmonization conducted as part of the cutover from SAP Business One. Integrations were implemented to link SAP R/3 transactional flows to procurement and production planning touchpoints, supplier invoice intake and payment rails, and to plant-level operational systems to ensure consistent costing and inventory valuation between finance and manufacturing. Program governance was coordinated with Unirez, using phased rollout waves and finance process owners to consolidate accounting policies and approval workflows. The engagement included data migration, reconciliation routines, cutover sequencing and end user training for accounting and controlling teams, establishing ongoing operational ownership within the finance organization for SAP R/3 as the companies ERP Financial backbone.
