| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle E-Business Suite | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015 Maruti Suzuki implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial platform. The program targeted consolidation of multiple home grown disparate systems that produced poor information quality required repeated manual data entry and hindered timely reporting across the company.
The Oracle E-Business Suite deployment standardized core financial modules including comprehensive general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, and incorporated Oracle Purchasing to manage procurement of services, goods, and indirect consumables. Configuration work focused on standardized data formats and automated workflows to support purchase order routing, order to payment tracking, and a controlled financial close process.
Oracle Consulting was engaged to define requirements, design the solution, develop the project plan, deploy the software, coordinate stakeholders, and provide three months of post implementation support. Hyperion was integrated with Oracle Financials to support budget analysis across nine subsidiaries and is used by approximately 10 budgeting staff within the finance organization. Procurement functionality was rolled out to subsidiaries that previously relied on spreadsheets, enabling automated PO flow and improved inventory tracking.
Governance and process restructuring included centralized standards for data and process, formal training programs that delivered user manuals, train the trainer sessions, and super user tracks, and clearer ownership across finance and procurement functions. The phased implementation approach reduced reliance on individual operators for critical financial activities and established standardized operational control over financial processes.
Post implementation Maruti Suzuki reported tighter control over accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the general ledger, improved operational efficiency, reduced confusion from disparate formats, and a timely year end close. Procurement adoption of Oracle Purchasing delivered cost reduction, better inventory management, and a reduced vendor count, while Hyperion integration improved budgeting accuracy and enabled faster response to market conditions.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020, Maruti Suzuki implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as its Core HR system. The deployment was scoped to support HR and payroll operations within SAP HR and Payroll India, centralizing employee master data and lifecycle processing.
The SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central implementation configured standard Core HR capabilities including the core HR data model, organizational management, position and employee lifecycle workflows, and country-specific payroll attribute handling. The configuration emphasized centralized employee records and automated HR transactions to feed downstream payroll processing.
Integrations included a direct link between SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and SAP S/4HANA Payroll, synchronizing employee master records and payroll-relevant attributes to support SAP HR and Payroll India processes. Data flow architecture emphasized authoritative employee master data in Employee Central with interfaces to SAP S/4HANA Payroll for payroll posting and statutory calculations.
Governance was structured around HR ownership of master data, defined approval workflows for hires and changes, and localized payroll configuration for compliance in India. The rollout commenced in October 2020 and involved staged configuration and interface testing between SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and SAP S/4HANA Payroll to operationalize HR and payroll functions.
