| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle E-Business Suite | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2013 | 2013 |
In 2013 Masco Corporation implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial application across its manufacturing conglomerate. The implementation targeted Masco Corporation, a manufacturer serving the home improvement and new home construction markets that comprises more than 20 companies and operates nearly 60 manufacturing facilities in the United States plus over 20 facilities internationally, and was executed with a focus on multi-organization financial architecture.
The deployment configured Oracle E-Business Suite to support Multiorg Architecture, including Defined Ledgers, Operating Units, and Business Groups to align financial ownership and reporting across legal entities and plants. Functional modules implemented and customized included Accounts Payable AP, Purchasing PO, Inventory INV, Order Management OM, and General Ledger GL, with custom flexfields tailored to business requirements to capture product, location, and transaction attributes.
Technical workstreams produced outbound interfaces to extract data directly from the database and developed stored procedures and PL/SQL packages to support conversions, interfaces, and custom business logic. Reporting work included analysis and review of high level MD 50 documents, customization and registration of concurrent programs, creation of value sets, attaching programs to request groups, and placement of reports and interfaces in the AOL directory on the application server, ensuring operational execution of scheduled and ad hoc financial reports.
The program engaged EIT and SIT testing phases, with business analysis of client specifications driving requirement-to-development traceability. Governance activities centered on registering reports and concurrent processes, managing conversion scripts and interfaces, and embedding configured accounting structures within the ERP Financial environment to support downstream finance, procurement, inventory, and order-to-cash workflows.
