In 2016, Match Group implemented Workday Financial Management to centralize accounting and reporting across its global portfolio. Workday Financial Management was deployed to address ERP Financial requirements for finance and accounting functions supporting brands such as Tinder, Match, OkCupid, Hinge, and PlentyOfFish.
Configuration and functional scope emphasized core general ledger, revenue management, accounts receivable, and reporting capabilities to support revenue recognition and order to cash workflows. The deployment included chart of accounts redesign, automated reconciliations, and custom reporting and extract capabilities, with analysts designing special data queries, reports, and reconciliations using SQL, VBA, and Excel power queries.
Operational coverage extended across all departments and both domestic and international reporting entities within Match Group, and the implementation was aligned with multiple reporting entities and systems. Workday Financial Management was paired with collaboration from the internal BI team to develop meaningful reports and to surface financial data for analysis, and the platform supported coordination with Audit to evaluate and recommend control solutions.
Governance and process responsibilities were centered on cross-functional leadership by a Senior Accounting Systems Analyst who investigated issues, recommended process enhancements, and maintained CPA level technical accounting knowledge. This role led work on special projects related to revenue recognition, order to cash, and chart of account redesign, ensuring uniformity, validity, and accuracy of financial data in the Workday Financial Management ERP Financial environment.

In 2021 Match Group implemented Onit SimpleLegal CounselGO as its Legal Time and Billing solution for the enterprise legal organization. The deployment targeted the company level legal team and business affairs leadership, with adoption validated by Jared S., Chief Business Affairs and Legal Officer, in user feedback collected during 2021 and 2022.
The Onit SimpleLegal CounselGO implementation centered on time and billing workflows and matter-level financial controls, delivering firm-level and matter-level spend tracking and executive dashboards. Onit SimpleLegal CounselGO was configured to provide straightforward time capture, consolidated dashboards, and spend reporting that legal leadership used to monitor outside counsel expenditure and matter budgets, reflecting category-aligned capabilities for Legal Time and Billing systems.
Operationally the rollout focused on legal operations and business affairs users across Match Group, establishing centralized visibility into law firm spend and matter charges. User feedback notes the system made it much easier to track spend by firm and by matter and helped the team stay on top of spend, while also flagging a limitation in fee forecasting tools as an area for enhancement.

In 2015 Match Group implemented Oracle Essbase for Analytics and BI to centralize corporate finance reporting and multi-brand metrics aggregation. The deployment anchored company level roll ups for metrics reporting, with Essbase serving as the authoritative cube for consolidated financial and operational data used by corporate finance and brand controllers.
Oracle Essbase was configured to support forecasting and planning workflows, including models for shared services and corporate expenditures across HR, Finance, IT/Operations, Legal, Fraud, Customer Care, Rent, Facilities, and Capital Expenditures. The implementation included a three statement model and a Free Cash Flow forecast, plus revenue, subscription, and expense modeling for the companys Latin American business, enabling unified scenario planning and driver based forecasting capabilities.
The deployment integrated Essbase outputs with accounting processes for actuals reconciliation and supported the monthly close cadence, reflecting a direct operational integration with finance led close and reporting. The solution was used by product leaders and finance teams across regions to feed regional models into the consolidated cube, and it produced roll ups and presentations used at multiple organizational levels.
Governance was established through enhanced roll up reporting and presentation standards aligned to company initiatives, and process controls were embedded into forecasting cycles to support monthly close and ad hoc reporting needs. The corporate finance team restructured forecasting workflows to leverage the Essbase architecture, standardizing inputs from brands and tightening cadence between modeling and accounting actuals.
The project delivered explicit process outcomes reported by finance staff, including various efficiency measures in the forecasting process and significant improvements in actuals tracking. Match Group used Oracle Essbase as the central Analytics and BI platform for corporate finance planning reporting and consolidated financial analysis.
