Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial ERP n/a 2016 2016
In 2016 Max Life Insurance implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as an ERP Financial application to centralize and standardize finance operations across the enterprise. The program was driven by the Assistant Vice President IT Enterprise Solutions and targeted finance and investments process modernization while aligning with ongoing initiatives for insurance operations and distribution. The Oracle E-Business Suite deployment encompassed core ERP Financial functionality, configured to support general ledger consolidation, accounts payable and receivable workflows, cash management and statutory reporting, while interfacing with the firm’s investments management landscape. The investments management footprint operated alongside Oracle E-Business Suite and covered front office, middle office and back office workflows, including implementation of multiple asset classes such as interest rate swaps, forward rate agreements and securities lending and borrowing. Architecture and operational coverage emphasized real time integration with Policy Administration systems and HR systems, with Oracle E-Business Suite acting as the enterprise finance backbone. The implementation was provisioned for pan India production support, managed by a roughly 40 person Enterprise Solutions team, and provided application development, testing and support services to more than 14,000 users across over 200 offices. Governance and rollout were managed through formal strategy and roadmap planning, multi year implementation planning for investments management and compliance processes, and annual IT budget planning and cost control. Day to day operations included application support practices, business analysis, release testing and production support functions, reflecting centralized governance for Finance, Investments and adjacent compliance processes.

Technical governance incorporated proactive database alert management, troubleshooting of database issues, and escalation of technical queries to Oracle and SAP. The implementation explicitly supported increased employee self service by publishing policies and process documents on the PeopleSoft and SAP HR portals and by driving adoption through regional communications, while operationalizing daily SLA tracking and UAT to stabilize ongoing releases.
