SAP Legacy SAP Business Suite ERP Financial ERP Capgemini 2006 2006
In 2006 Maxeda DIY Group implemented SAP Business Suite as its ERP Financial solution. The 2006 deployment targeted retail finance and operational workflows across Maxeda banners in the Netherlands, including DIY, BRICO and PRAXIS, and supported finance, sales, merchandising and logistics business functions. SAP Business Suite was configured to deliver core ERP Financial capabilities, including Financial Accounting and Controlling, alongside retail and order management functionality. The implementation included explicit functional coverage of SAP-SD, IS Retail and LE functional areas to handle sales order processing, pricing and retail assortment flows, and logistics execution within the same suite. Capgemini delivered the CRS-MAXEDA Netherlands Project through a Retail Center of Excellence model that demonstrated Capgemini retail accelerators and service capabilities. The CoE provided implementation and maintenance accelerators designed to reduce effort during project phases and to shorten ticket resolution time, and the program included ongoing incident, problem and service request handling for SAP-SD, IS Retail and LE functional parts. Operational governance was organized around the Capgemini Retail CoE, with service management processes for incident and problem resolution and a functional leadership layer that included a Senior Functional Lead Consultant addressing SAP-SD, IS Retail and LE issues. The deployment emphasized packaged ERP Financial configurations integrated with retail functional modules, and the CoE approach was used to standardize rollout practices and accelerate maintenance cycles.

SAP Legacy SAP Commerce Cloud (ex Hybris) eCommerce eCommerce n/a 2014 2014
In 2014, Maxeda DIY Group implemented SAP Commerce Cloud (ex Hybris) as the core eCommerce platform to enable an omni-channel retail experience. The implementation targeted the DIY formats Praxis, Brico, and Plan-It across the Benelux and was governed from the Digital program where the Team Lead eCommerce IT managed IT delivery and operational digital activities. SAP Commerce Cloud (ex Hybris) was configured to deliver standard eCommerce capabilities including storefronts, product catalog management, pricing and promotions, checkout and order management, search and personalization to support omni-channel customer journeys. Workstreams emphasized modular configuration, commerce engine extensions, and platform-level services aligned with retail merchandising and campaign management processes. Operational coverage spanned IT teams and digital business stakeholders in merchandising, marketing, and store operations, with the platform supporting online ordering, click-and-collect, and in-store fulfillment workflows. The Team Lead eCommerce IT retained responsibility for ongoing operational IT digital activities for the formats and for managing the staff within the eCommerce team. Project governance centered on defined delivery methodologies, with the Team Lead Digital IT preparing and facilitating workshops for internal business and external parties, and managing deliverables, quality, time and costs with implementation partners. SAP Legacy SAP CRM CRM CRM Capgemini 2014 2014
In 2014, Maxeda DIY Group implemented SAP CRM, classified under CRM, to centralize customer interaction and engagement capabilities. Capgemini was responsible for the installation and configuration of the SAP CRM environment. The deployment architecture integrated SAP CRM with SAP CEI as an add-on on one application server ABAP, establishing a single-application-server ABAP footprint for the CEI extension. Capgemini also completed the installation and configuration of SAP Fiori to provide modern user interface access to the SAP CRM functions. SAP CRM was provisioned to support core customer relationship workflows common to CRM deployments, including sales force automation, service and case management, customer master management, and interaction logging, which align with typical CRM functional modules. The implementation connected front office processes to the CEI extension on the ABAP server to enable event and interaction integration between components. Capgemini led technical delivery and configuration governance for the rollout, aligning ABAP server configuration and Fiori UI provisioning with SAP best practices. Maxeda is the first customer in the Netherlands to use SAP CEI in this manner, establishing a local reference point for CEI add-on integration with SAP CRM.
