SAP Legacy SAP Enterprise Asset Management Enterprise Asset Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2012 2012
In 2012, Maynilad Water Services implemented SAP Enterprise Asset Management. The deployment centralized asset information and maintenance execution, using SAP Enterprise Asset Management as the Enterprise Asset Management application to support plant maintenance and asset lifecycle processes across the utility. Project activities followed a formal CMMS implementation lifecycle, including kickoff, blueprinting, market day, trial conversion, migration of legacy data to SAP, user acceptance testing and go live. Configuration work focused on SAP Enterprise Asset Management and SAP PM aligned settings, with organizational data setup for maintenance plant, planning plant, planner group, work center, cost center and location. A functional location hierarchy was implemented covering non linear, linear, tools, vehicles and IT asset categories, and the implementation touched computerized maintenance management workflows and master data object creation. Integrations and cross system coordination were explicit parts of the program, represented by the Asset Information and Knowledge Management department. Documented integration touchpoints include Pi SAP integration, GIS SAP integration, ACR SAP integration, DS IS upgrade and a Hydrogen App connection, and the program covered IT asset tracking and tools management use cases. Different business units were engaged for data conversion, testing and operational handover during migration and go live. Operational governance emphasized Master Data Management and ISO 9001:2015 aligned controls. The MDM function drafted and implemented MDM operational procedures, work instructions, forms and attachments, supervised creation and change of master data objects, performed periodic master data quality checks, conducted SAP EAM trainings, prepared section and project reporting to management and took responsibility for internal and external IMS audits. These governance activities institutionalized data ownership, auditability and ongoing support for the Enterprise Asset Management environment.
