This rollout followed an earlier Microsoft CRM implementation, which shaped expectations for technology alignment and data model consistency within the Microsoft stack. Work that began in fall 2014 experienced schedule slippage due to deficient requirements gathering, incomplete design documentation and insufficient technical resources from the original implementation partner, prompting FOCUS Brands to secure a new provider to resume and stabilize delivery of Microsoft Dynamics AX. Operational scope covered corporate finance and back-office consolidation across the FOCUS Brands portfolio, including McAllister’s Deli and sister quick-service brands, with governance redirected toward remediation of requirements, strengthened design artifacts and increased technical staffing to complete configuration and go live activities.

Functional controls included monitoring theoretical versus actual product usage TvA, aligning POS sales data with inventory consumption for product usage reconciliation. Governance and operational practices were executed at the restaurant site level, with managers and back-of-house staff responsible for daily data entry, menu updates and upkeep of the Aloha POS server data. Operational routines embedded POS maintenance, TvA tracking and decision logic reconciliation into shift workflows to preserve data integrity across NCR Voyix Aloha POS, Decision Logic inventory records and Excel-based payroll records.
