Enverus Legacy Enverus OpenInvoice AP Automation ERP Financial Management n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, MEG Energy implemented Enverus OpenInvoice as its AP Automation solution. The deployment was positioned inside the company finance application portfolio overseen by the IT Lead responsible for Finance, Operations, Human Resources and Business Intelligence applications. Enverus OpenInvoice was configured to support core AP Automation workflows including invoice capture, validation and exception handling, automated invoice matching and approval routing, and supplier invoicing and portal capabilities. Configuration work aligned with typical AP Automation functional modules for controls, audit trail and automated workflow orchestration to standardize invoice lifecycle processing. The implementation integrated with named finance and automation tools already in MEG Energy's environment, specifically Kofax for document capture, Ultimus for workflow orchestration, QByte for payment or data interchange touch points and Prophix for downstream financial reporting and planning connections. AP transactional data was also fed into the enterprise data warehouse and visualization stack used by the IT and BI teams, enabling consolidated AP reporting in Tableau and SSRS. Governance and operational ownership rested with the IT Lead and a team of five Senior Application Specialists who managed configuration, vendor liaison, application support and business relationship management for Enverus OpenInvoice. Rollout emphasized embedding the AP Automation system into existing finance processes and reporting workflows while centralizing application support and controls under the finance application portfolio.

Workday Legacy Workday HCM Core HR HCM n/a 2015 2015
In 2015, MEG Energy implemented Workday HCM as its Core HR platform. The Workday HCM deployment delivered Core HR functionality to 700 workers within a six month delivery window and operated on a program budget of $800k. The implementation configured Workday HCM as the central HRIS, covering core employee records, workforce administration, and recruiting touchpoints. The project included integrations to Active Directory for identity alignment, Maximo for operations and maintenance context, Cornerstone On Demand for learning management, Talcura as the recruiting system, Great West Life for benefits administration and ADP for payroll processing. The delivery model used a dedicated Workday integration team, an HR business process team and MEG IT staff to manage interfaces and data flows between systems. Governance was run through a program office reporting to the VP of HR, IT and Supply Chain, with the project manager leading integration, HR process configuration and test orchestration. Testing and change management techniques were applied to control scope and costs, achieving a stated 20 percent reduction in testing and change management expense while meeting the baseline delivery schedule. Operational coverage focused on HR, IT and Supply Chain functions across MEG Energy in Canada, with Workday HCM serving as the system of record for Core HR.
