In 2019, Meta implemented Oracle WebCenter Accounts Payable as a core component of its AP Automation program. The deployment of Oracle WebCenter Accounts Payable was aligned with Meta’s Oracle Fusion Financial and Procurement footprint and explicitly targeted accounts payable processing and invoice capture workflows.
The implementation bundled Oracle WebCenter capture and form recognition for Optical character recognition driven invoice ingestion, machine learning trainer sets for form prediction, and configuration of AME approval workflows for invoice routing. Oracle WebCenter Accounts Payable integrations included FBDI template customization for stylesheet and rental invoice imports, FBDI automation reading from SFTP, and exposure of Oracle ERP cloud REST update services to allow external edit flows.
Integrations extended to Meta internal applications including Buy@ and Smart Invoicing, OIC cloud integrations for procurement and financial services, banking gateway payment support for APRO, and API payload design using SOAP UI and Postman for multiple service imports. The implementation also incorporated business intelligence reporting, Python based sync pipelines to extract Oracle cloud BI data to internal systems, and monitoring dashboards for user acceptance test and disaster recovery scenarios.
Governance and operational processes were formalized under sprint based delivery with a scrum master role, weekly management and status calls across US and Singapore client managers, and coordination with cross functional technical, infrastructure, Oracle service teams, auditors and compliance. The runbooks included hyper care and day to day Oracle ERP cloud support for APAC and EMEA, SLA driven task management through Meta task tools, and coordination with Accenture BPO users during financial period closing.
