SAP Legacy SAP ERP ECC 6.0 ERP Financial ERP n/a 2019 2019
In 2019 MetLife Mexico implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to support core finance and commission accounting as part of its ERP Financial footprint. The project surfaced alongside a new SaaS Agent Commission System, SAP COMMISSIONS, creating a combined on-premises and cloud application landscape. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 deployment focused on standard ERP Financial capabilities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and commission accounting workflows. Configuration work emphasized invoice and payment processing, financial posting rules, and commission accruals to align agent commission transactions with enterprise financial controls. Technical integration centered on migrating and replatforming transactional interfaces and layouts from an AS/400 environment running DB2 on POWER8 into the SAP environment, with development artifacts authored in RPGLE, COBOL, and SQLRPG and change control performed through ALDON. The implementation integrated SAP COMMISSIONS with SAP ERP ECC 6.0 via interface adapters and custom data mappings, and the team provided integration support during system integration testing and QA cycles. Operational scope covered finance, commission operations, and IT development and test teams, with a technical lead and a MetLife Data Analyst Programmer responsible for development and implementation tasks. Governance relied on structured development, SIT testing, and QA support to validate interfaces and transactional flows between AS/400 sources, SAP ERP ECC 6.0, and the SaaS commission system.
