In 2019, Metro Bank implemented Oracle Cloud ERP to consolidate core financial management under the ERP Financial category. The deployment targeted centralized accounts and transaction processing to support the bank's retail and commercial finance functions, maintaining Oracle Cloud ERP as the transactional backbone while separating analytics and reporting workloads.
Oracle Cloud ERP was configured to deliver standard financial modules including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and transaction processing, enabling centralized financial workflows and controls. Analytics and self-service reporting were executed with Microsoft Power Platform and Azure data services, using Microsoft Power BI to remove reporting load from the transactional system and reduce dependence on IT developers for ad hoc reports. Operational governance assigned joint accountability to finance and IT for data services and report delivery, with the bank's Microsoft Power Platform delivery lead driving process optimization and data orchestration between Oracle Cloud ERP and the Azure analytics layer.

| Avature | Legacy | Avature ATS | Applicant Tracking System | HCM | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, Metro Bank implemented Avature ATS to centralize and scale recruitment as the bank expanded its retail footprint. Avature ATS is an Applicant Tracking System configured as a single, centralized people data platform to support requisition management, candidate experience, and analytics across the organization.
The implementation emphasized configurable workflows, automation, and analytics. Functional capabilities deployed included automated candidate response workflows, configurable short list workflows to surface diverse candidate pools, parsing to support anonymized CV handling, unique trackable links for source attribution, role level dashboards, and reporting templates that can be reconfigured by business users.
Operational coverage extended across Metro Bank’s recruitment lifecycle from assessment centers through onboarding and internal mobility. The Avature ATS was integrated with chat bot capabilities and workflow triggers that prompt hiring managers to take employer brand actions, it supported a shortened internal candidate application flow that updates employee profiles in the people data platform, and it orchestrated two day onboarding programs delivered at assessment centers named The M Factor.
Governance changes centered on centralized requisition management and self service analytics. Hiring was centralized with a one platform approach that enforces a single requisition workflow, one click D&I footnote insertion to job ads, an embedded internal mobility step to indicate short list readiness, and role specific dashboards that put data ownership with recruiters while sharing KPIs up to the executive board and to finance through reconfigurable reports.
Explicit outcomes stated from the Avature ATS deployment include maintaining a 100 percent applicant response rate, processing roughly 75,000 applicants and hiring over 2,000 people in 2018 through the platform, and saving recruiters about three hours per week via reporting efficiencies. Metro Bank continues to use Avature ATS functionality to pursue goals such as reducing agency reliance and testing anonymized CV workflows to mitigate bias.

| Temenos | Legacy | Temenos T24 | Core Banking | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016 Metro Bank implemented Temenos T24 as its Core Banking application. Temenos T24 is used for the capture, processing and reporting of static, dynamic and transactional bank and customer information and provides integration interfaces to customer-facing channels including Internet Banking, ATM and POS networks, IVR platforms and external payment gateways.
The complete Temenos T24 application stack runs from two Rackspace Data Centres identified as Lon-1 and Lon-3, which are physically separated and connected across a wide area network using MPLS. Metro Bank Stores reach the data centres through varied connectivity methods, with traffic routed by Local Traffic Managers and filtered through dedicated firewalls, and the runtime estate spans Linux and Windows hosts on VMWare and cloud compute instances.
The implementation footprint includes middleware and ancillary components such as IBM Integration Bus IIB, TCIB and Mteller, plus database tiers on Oracle and SQL Server using PL SQL constructs. Infrastructure and delivery toolchains in the environment include AWS services such as EC2 and EKS alongside Azure and AKS, containerization with Docker, orchestration by Kubernetes, infrastructure provisioning with Terraform and configuration management with Puppet and Ansible, and CI CD pipelines using Jenkins, Maven and Azure DevOps, all integrated with GIT source control.
Operational coverage centers on retail branch operations, payments and channel routing, transaction processing and customer account management, with platform engineering responsibilities for security configuration, secure design patterns and DevOps practices. Governance practices emphasize configuration management, CI CD driven deployments and container cluster maintenance under platform engineering oversight, supporting continuous delivery and operational support models for the Temenos T24 Core Banking application.
