Epicor Legacy Epicor Eagle Scheduling Workforce Scheduling HCM n/a 2016 2016
In 2016, Miami Home Centers implemented Epicor Eagle Scheduling, a Workforce Scheduling application, to centralize labor planning across its retail operations. The deployment targeted the retailer's four South Florida locations in South Miami, Miami Beach, Pinecrest, and Tamiami, and was established as a cloud-based environment to provide anytime, anywhere access for employees and managers. The implementation encompassed core scheduling and task delegation capabilities, employee notification channels by e-mail and text, and a personal online dashboard for shift visibility. Configuration emphasized calendar templating and copy and paste schedule creation, time and attendance reporting that highlights early punches and missed days, and built-in controls aimed at assuring accurate employee paychecks. Epicor Eagle Scheduling was integrated with Epicor Eagle system data to align daily and weekly schedules with labor budgets, enabling managers to schedule according to whether the store is over or under budget for the day, week, or month. Operational coverage included HR and store management functions, with the system feeding payroll accuracy workflows and providing consolidated oversight across multiple store sites. Governance shifted from manual Microsoft Office Excel based roster maintenance to an automated, cloud-driven scheduling process, reducing back-office rework and reallocating management time toward customer-facing activities. The rollout reinforced accountability by giving staff immediate access to their hours and enabling managers to use reporting tools to monitor attendance patterns and adjust staffing centrally. As stated by the customer, outcomes included streamlined employee scheduling processes, reduced manager time spent organizing schedules, fewer paycheck errors, and improved ability to staff peak periods to protect customer service levels. Epicor Eagle Scheduling supported Miami Home Centers in maintaining tighter schedule control while preserving the independent retailer focus on high-quality customer service.
