Oracle Legacy Oracle NetSuite ERP ERP Financial ERP n/a 2014 2014
In 2014, Michael & Susan Dell Foundation implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP to establish a consolidated ERP Financial platform across its organization. The deployment used NetSuite OneWorld to onboard five subsidiaries, targeting centralized finance and grant accounting functions for a 250 employee nonprofit operating across multiple geographies. The implementation configured Advanced Financials, Adaptive Planning and Fixed Assets modules alongside custom General Ledger lines and bespoke reporting. The project included bespoke development for grant liability recognition and foreign exchange recognition logic, reflecting the foundation's need to account for grant obligations and multicurrency transactions within Oracle NetSuite ERP. Integration work included testing and operationalizing connections between NetSuite and Workday, Salesforce, Nexonia, and an in house grant making tool, plus supporting systems such as Egencia travel, Nexonia expenses and Bank of America Cash Pro for cash management. Testing of third party integrations and managed consulting engagements were used to validate end to end flows and the customizations required for grant accounting and FX handling. Operational governance centered on process documentation and continuous process improvement across all geographies, coordinated by a System Admin with six years of experience who managed subsidiary onboarding, testing, and consulting engagements for NetSuite customizations. The configuration emphasis was on centralized financial controls, custom GL structures, and reporting to support grant management and multinational accounting practices within the ERP Financial environment.
