In 2013, Micron Japan implemented Panasonic Net MajorFlow Z Time to address employee time capture and project time management as a focused Time and Attendance initiative. Micron had introduced MajorFlow Keihi in 2011 and about two years later added MajorFlow Time to consolidate expense and time workflows within the same MajorFlow product series. The deployment emphasized alignment between human resources and finance processes rather than isolated timekeeping.
Panasonic Net MajorFlow Z Time was configured to deliver time attendance, project time tracking, approval workflows, and a centralized time repository for payroll input. Configuration work standardized time management rules, project assignment fields, and role based approvals appropriate to a 50 person organization. The implementation used common Time and Attendance capabilities such as clock in and out capture, project level time allocation, and automated timesheet consolidation for regular payroll cycles.
The rollout was executed in Japan and covered human resources time attendance and cost management functions across HR and finance. Integrations were put in place with payroll and accounting systems to transfer consolidated time and project cost data for payroll processing and financial posting. Operational coverage included employee time capture, project charging, and cost allocation workflows used day to day by HR and finance teams.
Governance shifted toward standardized time rules and approval workflows to reduce manual reconciliation effort. Micron confirmed a reduction in time spent through the standardization of time management and the integration between Panasonic Net MajorFlow Z Time and payroll and accounting systems. Ongoing governance focused on maintaining consistent time rules and auditability across HR and cost management processes.
