| SAP | Legacy | SAP S/4 HANA | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2022 | 2022 |
In 2022, Mindlance implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its core ERP Financial platform to consolidate and standardize customer service, billing, accounting, finance, and risk workflows. The deployment targeted an organization of approximately 2,500 employees and specified onsite resources for integration and conversion activities to support close collaboration between IT, business users, and external vendors.
The SAP S/4 HANA implementation focused on financial accounting and billing integration capabilities common to ERP Financial systems, including general ledger and accounts receivable flows, revenue accounting touchpoints, and cash management processes. Configuration work emphasized end to end invoice to cash and order to cash interactions that tie customer service and billing operations into core finance modules, with attention to hybrid waterfall and agile delivery patterns during build and testing.
Integrations were scoped to support multiple connection patterns to external systems, with conversions and interfaces delivered as point to point and middleware mediated solutions, and a mix of real time and batch data exchanges. The program required coordination for conversions of billing and customer service data, and leveraged collaboration and tracking tools such as MS Project, Office 365, JIRA, and SharePoint to manage integration tasks and traceability.
Program governance was executed through a formal PMO and steering committee structure, with the project manager responsible for maintaining detailed integration and conversion components of project plans, RAID logs, and audience appropriate status reporting. The delivery model reflected a matrix engagement across IT, finance, customer service, and vendor teams, with rigorous change control and SDLC practices to verify scope, schedule, and cost impacts and to escalate integration risks when necessary.
