In 2017 Monin Americas deployed TARGIT Decision Suite for Analytics and BI. The deployment centralized automated reporting and interactive dashboards to support Sales, Operations, and Purchasing across the United States. Implementation emphasis was on delivering scheduled data to desktops, email, and mobile access each morning.
TARGIT Decision Suite was configured to generate overnight reports automatically and to publish dashboards and KPI analyses for daily consumption. Functional capabilities implemented include scheduled report generation, mobile BI with drill down to customer, region, and state level sales, ad hoc dashboarding for flavor trend analysis, and the ability to mash up internal datasets with external data. Users receive KPI highlights and alerts through the platform, and sales teams use mobile dashboards to monitor individual and territory performance. The solution supports interactive exploration allowing users to drill into any number for more detail directly from mobile phones.
The implementation incorporated external data mash ups, for example combining company sales data with external weather datasets to correlate weather patterns and sales. Operational coverage spans Sales, Operations, and Purchasing, with plans to expand analytics projects further throughout the company. Nightly automation established a consistent daily stream of information to users' desktops, emails, and mobile devices.
Rollout governance prioritized automated delivery schedules and user access to role specific dashboards, enabling departmental teams to adopt analytics workflows quickly. Outcomes reported include reports that formerly took weeks now being automatically generated overnight, real time dashboards that surface sales changes as they happen, and improved production planning through trend visibility. The TARGIT Decision Suite implementation continues to expand within Monin Americas as additional analytics projects move into production.
