TecAlliance Legacy TecDoc Platform Product Information Management eCommerce n/a 2023 2023
In 2023, MS Motorservice Germany implemented the TecDoc Platform from TecAlliance, onboarding its product catalogue into the TecDoc ecosystem and achieving Premier and Certified Data Supplier statuses. This Product Information Management deployment targeted the automotive aftermarket across global and EMEA channels and covered brands such as Kolbenschmidt and Pierburg. The implementation centralized product master data and catalogue management, standardizing vehicle fitment, parts classification, and attribute schemas to improve data comparability. Configuration work included data normalization, mapping to TecDoc classification standards, and enrichment workflows for technical specifications, cross-references, and part attributes. Operationally the TecDoc Platform rollout went live in 2023 within MS Motorservice's catalogue operations, enabling inclusion in the TecDoc catalogue consumed by customers and distributors in EMEA and beyond. The PIM configuration supported catalogue publishing workflows aligned to aftermarket distribution channels, improving the completeness of customer-facing catalogue exports. Governance emphasis accompanied the technical deployment, with supplier certification and ongoing data quality monitoring underpinning the Premier and Certified Data Supplier recognitions. This resulted in improved catalogue data completeness and comparability for customers, strengthening product discovery and technical matching across MS Motorservice's aftermarket catalogue.
