Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2021 2021
In 2021, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory upgraded its Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial environment at JPL Pasadena, CA, with work beginning in September 2021 and continuing to present. The engagement was executed under DBA stewardship and focused on platform stabilization and enhanced operational monitoring for core financial systems. The technical implementation advanced the Oracle E-Business Suite instance from 12.1.3 to 12.2, and included concurrent database and operating system upgrades. Configuration activities included creation of EBS templates, definition of threshold rules, setup of incident rules for notification, and development of metric extensions for custom monitoring aligned to transaction and availability signals. Monitoring and management were integrated by incorporating the Oracle E-Business Suite Application Management Pack into an Enterprise Manager 13c environment to provide unified application and database observability. Advanced monitoring settings were applied and EMCLI scripts were scripted to automate maintenance tasks, streamline incident handling, and support repetitive operational procedures. Operational scope emphasized ERP Financial application management and DBA governance, with a shift toward template-driven alerting, documented incident routing, and metric-based monitoring governance. The work centered on institutionalizing monitoring practices and automation for ongoing Oracle E-Business Suite operations without changes to stated business outcomes.

Phenom Legacy Phenom Talent CRM Candidate Relationship Management HCM n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory implemented Phenom Talent CRM. The deployment positioned Phenom Talent CRM as the Candidate Relationship Management platform to support JPL talent acquisition and candidate engagement workflows. Configuration emphasized candidate profile consolidation, talent pool segmentation, CRM-driven nurture campaigns, and pipeline orchestration, reflecting common Candidate Relationship Management capabilities. Phenom Talent CRM was configured to maintain structured candidate records, enable recruiter-managed talent pools, and support campaign segmentation and outreach orchestration for recruiting teams. The public careers experience uses Phenom People on JPL's website as the candidate-facing component alongside Phenom Talent CRM, providing job discovery and initial candidate capture on the careers site. Operational coverage focused on JPL's HR and talent acquisition teams who manage sourcing workflows, candidate communications, and pipeline qualification through the Talent CRM. Governance centered on centralized role based access for recruiters and hiring managers and standardized workflow templates to align outreach and pipeline stages with recruiting practices. The implementation emphasized alignment between the careers site experience and CRM-managed candidate engagement, consistent with Candidate Relationship Management deployment patterns.

CentralSquare Legacy CentralSquare Public Safety Pro Suite Computer Aided Dispatch ERP Services and Operations n/a 2024 2024
In 2024 NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory implemented CentralSquare Public Safety Pro Suite to upgrade campus public safety technology. The deployment centers on Computer Aided Dispatch functionality alongside a Record Management System, 911 capabilities and Mobile solutions, consolidating capabilities previously delivered by Caliber Public Safety and Motorola Solutions. CentralSquare Public Safety Pro Suite was configured to deliver unified CAD workflows for call intake, dispatch and resource assignment, a RMS for case management tracking and advanced reporting, and mobile client access so officers can view calls for service while in the field. Caller Location Query features were enabled to improve location accuracy during 911 responses and to support incident logging and evidence tracking. The technical architecture consolidated dispatch center operations, the fire department and the security department onto a single vendor platform, integrating 911 call handling, CAD incident records and mobile endpoints to support both in-office and field operations across the JPL campus. Data flow and reporting were centralized through the RMS to provide consistent case management and cross-department situational awareness. Governance was rationalized through vendor consolidation to standardize interfaces and operational workflows, with the stated outcomes of cost savings, more user-friendly interfaces and long-term operational efficiencies for campus safety management. The implementation restructured operational processes for dispatch, security operations and fire response by moving from multiple supplier components into a unified Public Safety Pro Suite environment.
