Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2009 2009
In 2009 National Pen Company implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as an ERP Financial application to centralize finance and order to cash processes for its retail operations. The deployment anchored on Oracle E-Business Suite and was staffed with a dedicated technical lead and architect based in San Diego, CA, covering both commerce and back office financial workflows. The implementation used Oracle Application 11.5.10 modules including OM for Order Management, INV for Inventory, PO for Purchasing, WSH for Shipping, AP for Accounts Payable and AR for Accounts Receivable, with XML Publisher used for reporting and document generation. Oracle Commerce 10.2 components ACC CSC BCC were implemented alongside the ERP Financial stack to support web order capture and channel orchestration into Order Management. Architecturally the solution paired Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10 with Oracle Commerce 10.2 and a relational database tier running Oracle9i and Oracle10g, with application logic implemented in SQL and PL/SQL and user interfaces and reports delivered via Oracle Forms and Reports 6i. The integration model emphasized synchronized order and invoice flows from Oracle Commerce into Oracle E-Business Suite, and XML Publisher templates for transactional output. Governance and operational ownership were defined through the Technical Lead role, which included designing conceptual and detailed technical solutions, developing and coding within Oracle Commerce and Oracle E-Business Suite, managing development teams and database administrators, assisting business analysts to shape requirements, estimating and tracking work, specifying technical designs, defining technical standards and resolving technical issues to prevent roadblocks.
