In 2026, National Savings Bank implemented PayMedia Digital Signature as part of a package of enhancements to its NSBPay mobile application. PayMedia acted as NSB's fintech partner to deliver in-app contactless Tap & Pay and expanded mobile payment capabilities across Sri Lanka, and the PayMedia Digital Signature deployment was introduced to enable digital onboarding and secure transaction approvals.
The PayMedia Digital Signature implementation centers on Digital Signing capabilities for mobile workflows, including e-signature capture, cryptographic verification, and persistent audit trails for signed artifacts. Configuration work focused on embedding signing flows into the NSBPay mobile user experience, using client side signature initiation and a back end signing service to validate and record approvals, and standard signing policy controls were applied to mobile approval workflows.
Operational scope covered retail digital banking and payments functions within NSBPay, impacting customer onboarding and payment authorization flows across Sri Lanka. The digital signing capability was integrated into mobile banking transaction paths and contactless Tap & Pay authorization flows inside the NSBPay application to ensure approvals and onboarding steps are executed within the mobile channel.
Governance and workflow changes formalized e-signature approval chains and implemented audit and retention policies for signed records, aligning onboarding and transaction approval procedures with electronic signature capture and verification. These governance measures established centralized signature policy controls and compliance logging for digital onboarding and secure transaction approvals within NSB's mobile banking environment.
