In 2012, Neptune-Benson implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP. The 70 employee United States manufacturing company deployed Oracle NetSuite ERP to consolidate financial management and standardize core accounting across its business. The implementation targeted ERP Financial processes including general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Configuration work centered on core financials, fixed assets accounting, bank reconciliation, and order to cash workflows, with inventory valuation controls configured to align with manufacturing costing practices. Financial period close controls and role based security were established to support auditability and month end governance. The Oracle NetSuite ERP configuration emphasized template driven chart of accounts and automated journal posting to reduce manual reconciliations.
Deployment used Oracle NetSuite ERP as a cloud based multi tenant SaaS application to provide centralized ledger access for finance and operations. Interfaces and data feeds were staged to support transactional posting from shop floor and order entry systems, while procurement and sales teams used the same instance for order and supplier management. Access and reporting were provisioned for accounting, purchasing and production planning functions.
Rollout followed a phased approach, starting with core accounts payable and accounts receivable, then extending to inventory accounting and order management to limit disruption to manufacturing operations. Governance centralized ownership in finance with documented processes for transaction approval and change control of configuration.
