Vision was used alongside Infor SunSystems for management reporting and month end account preparation.
The deployment integrated with Salesforce to consolidate grant data and to maintain grants payable and receivable records, a process completed during 2016 that required reconciliation of multiple source records. Payroll was processed by an outsourced payroll provider with payroll postings and internal control checks recorded in Infor SunSystems as ledger entries. The system supported multi-entity accounting including subsidiary journals and provided extractable ledgers to facilitate auditor queries and tax submissions.
Governance and process changes accompanied the technical rollout, including formalising the Purchase Order policy and creating a Capital Expenditure Request policy and form, and delivering structured finance inductions for new starters. Month end governance emphasized timely reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and follow up of reconciling items, with regular one to ones to develop team capability. The finance team used Infor SunSystems and associated reporting to support year end audit engagement, liaison with external tax experts, and completion of EU funded project returns.
