In 2019 Nestle Skin Health implemented SAP S/4 HANA as the core system in a 30M CHF, worldwide program to replace systems with an SAP HANA ERP, positioning the application as the enterprise ERP Financial backbone. The program was managed from headquarters in Lausanne and included a dedicated headquarters OCM team and a distributed change manager footprint through EU, USA, and Asia, with delivery milestones completed by March 2019.
The implementation emphasis was on organizational change management, role design, and learning rather than incremental functional add-ons. SAP S/4 HANA configuration work included financial management alignment to the ERP Financial category, role-based security packaging, and the creation of over 500 job description templates that were mapped to SAP roles. Learning architecture was built in parallel, producing more than 500 training modules aligned to job descriptions and SAP S/4 HANA roles to support role-based adoption and operational readiness.
Integrations and operational coverage were centered on HR and security orchestration, with HR collaborating on organization design and job description templates to ensure handoff into SAP security role design. The program governance included centralized change impact management, stakeholder communications using digital and video assets, and a multi-tiered change team structure led by a headquarters team of five and ten regional change managers across EU, USA, and Asia. Business functions explicitly impacted included HR, finance, security, and learning operations.
Governance and rollout were formalized through detailed OCM plans, stakeholder management protocols, and packaged SAP security roles aligned to the new organizational model. The overall package was delivered on time and to budget, and the rollout achieved excellent business adoption as reported by program leadership.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP HCM (HR) | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, Nestle Skin Health implemented SAP HCM (HR) as its Core HR solution, initiating a program aligned with pharmaceutical Good X Practices that began in February 2018 under dedicated project leadership. The implementation was framed to support regulated HR operations and governance requirements for a consumer healthcare organization with distributed teams and offshore delivery components.
SAP HCM (HR) was configured to deliver Core HR capabilities including personnel administration, organizational management, time management, and HR master data governance. Configuration work emphasized compliance controls and auditability to meet industry regulatory expectations for recordkeeping and change control.
Infrastructure and integration activity documented for the program included migration and consolidation tasks touching ERP INFOR M3, consolidation of monitoring from SCOM to SolarWinds, deployment of SAP HR IDM for identity and access governance, and the use of WebSphere on Linux within the application stack. These elements were executed as part of an on-premises application footprint and accompanied by a revision of disaster recovery planning during a data center failover exercise.
Operational governance combined project management for the HR application and supporting infrastructure with training of offshore teams and coordination of cross-functional activities. Governance emphasis remained on Good X Practices compliance, identity and access governance through SAP HR IDM, and updated DRP documentation to sustain recoverability and operational continuity for HR services.
