Oracle Legacy Oracle Peoplesoft Benefits Administration Benefits Administration HCM n/a 2008 2008
In 2008 New York State Unified Court System implemented Oracle Peoplesoft Benefits Administration within its Benefits Administration portfolio to centralize benefits enrollment and eligibility workflows. The deployment sits inside a broader PeopleSoft environment that is supported at the enterprise level, with the Oracle Peoplesoft Benefits Administration instance operating alongside core HCM services and centralized PeopleSoft system tables. The implementation leverages primary PeopleSoft modules including HCM, Position Management and Workflow, with functional ownership for maintaining core PeopleSoft system tables and developing reports. Configuration work included benefits plan setup, eligibility rules and workflow-driven approvals, and the team produced custom reporting and data analytics for HR Directors and Administrative Judges to support case and personnel decision making. Integrations are explicit and technical, the Benefits Administration application interfaces with state payroll and benefits systems running on PeopleSoft v9.1 and PeopleSoft v8.9, and it integrates with Kronos v6 for time management. The program documented pending upgrades, including a multi-version Kronos upgrade and implementation of Taleo Talent Acquisition, and functional leads coordinated with Financial Management, Labor Relations, Payroll, Benefits and IT to align data exchange and operational handoffs. Governance and process redesign were led by a top-level PeopleSoft SME who performed business process analysis to recommend whether remaining pre-PeopleSoft processes should be replaced within PeopleSoft or extended via interfaces. The SME also acted as Functional Lead on a double-version upgrade from PeopleSoft v8.9 to v9.2, with a go-live in March 2018, and advised management to ensure processes and data complied with legislative, judicial and multiple labor contract requirements.
