Microsoft Legacy Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps Apps Development PaaS n/a 2020 2020 In 2020, Ngvikings deployed Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps to host the ngVikings 2020 conference site and session pages for the Nordic Angular community. The deployment used Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps and was aligned to Apps Development use cases for developer events and web presence, supporting a Norway and Nordic focused audience of approximately 3,500 participants in May 2020. The implementation architecture centered on static asset delivery and pre-rendered session pages, leveraging globally distributed static hosting to serve site content at edge locations. Core functional modules implemented included the online event landing site, per-session content pages, and static asset pipelines for JavaScript, styles, and media, enabling high-concurrency content delivery without server-side rendering. Operational coverage targeted event organizers and content contributors across Norway and the Nordic region, covering publishing workflows and site content management for developer events and community engagement. Publishing and release automation were driven by a CI/CD content pipeline that automated builds and deployments when organizers updated source content, enabling rapid publication of session pages during the conference. Governance focused on aligning organizer publishing processes to the CI/CD workflow and maintaining content release control during the event window. Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps provided the hosting platform and Apps Development capabilities used to centralize ngVikings web presence and session delivery for the 2020 event.
