In 2018, NHS Property Services implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV as its ERP Financial application. The Microsoft Dynamics NAV deployment served as the central finance system supporting the Finance Team and operational stakeholders including Property Managers, Building Surveyors, Asset Managers and Facilities Managers.
The implementation concentrated on core financial and procurement workflows, including purchase order processing and user access and configuration for NAV, with ongoing support for Dynamics NAV PO queries and user setup. Microsoft Dynamics NAV was used to generate monthly service reporting and to support a transition in reporting from Jet Reports to PowerBI, requiring configuration of reporting extracts and user training materials.
The Dynamics NAV environment operated alongside Dynamics 365 CE and a broad Microsoft 365 estate, with explicit integrations and operational linkages to SharePoint, PowerApps workflows that interlink with SharePoint Lists and Libraries, Customer Voice survey handling and email tracking in Dynamics CRM. Infrastructure and operations incorporated Azure Portal for user license management and SSO domain migrations, Azure Logic Apps for alerting, Windows Server monitoring of Dynamics NAV instances via mRemoteNG, and mass SharePoint site migrations using ShareGate.
Operational governance combined centralized administration and cross functional controls, with a Global SharePoint Administrator working closely with the M365 Product Team, Legal and the Data Protection Officer to secure permissions and manage external users. Incident and problem management was conducted through Zoho Manage Engine, with process issues raised to a product backlog, scripted SharePoint management tasks executed in SharePoint Management Shell and routine availability checks run via CheckMK, accompanied by end user onboarding and ongoing training for the NHSPS Customer Portal.

In 2019, NHS Property Services deployed Hotjar on its public website. The Hotjar implementation was aligned with the Customer Experience category to capture behavioral analytics and on site feedback across web pages.
Deployment was executed via the Hotjar site script to instrument production pages, enabling heatmaps, session recordings, conversion funnel analysis, and on page feedback widgets. Configuration emphasized page-level tagging and sampled session capture to collect actionable user behavior while limiting performance overhead.
Operational coverage focused on the organisation's public web properties and the tenant and property information flows exposed to site visitors. Outputs from Hotjar, including recordings and aggregated heatmaps, were consumed by UX, digital product, marketing, and analytics functions to prioritize usability and content decisions.
Governance centered on controlling access to session recordings and aggregated behavioral reports within digital teams, with instrumentation scoped to live web assets rather than internal systems. Hotjar data was treated as a web behavior analytics source supporting iterative UX and content workflows.
