| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle E-Business Suite | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2008 | 2009 |
In 2008, Nintendo implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its core ERP Financial application and deployed an enterprise analytics stack that included OBIEE 11g 11.1.1.6.5, Informatica 9.0.1, and OBIA 7.9.6.3 integrated with Oracle Applications E-Business Suite R12.1.3. The implementation delivered discrete analytics solutions including HR Analytics, Financial Analytics, Supply Chain and Order Management Analytics, and Procurement and Spend Analytics for the corresponding business functions.
The technical architecture centered on Oracle E-Business Suite R12.1.3 as the transactional source system with Informatica performing extract, transform, and load processing into OBIA subject areas, and OBIEE 11g serving as the BI presentation and reporting layer. Oracle Business Intelligence Applications provided packaged ETL mappings, dimensional models, and prebuilt dashboards for finance, HR, supply chain, order management, and procurement, while Informatica 9.0.1 handled data integration, cleansing, and batch orchestration upstream of the reporting layer.
Integrations were explicitly between OBIEE 11g, Informatica 9.0.1, OBIA 7.9.6.3, and Oracle Applications E-Business Suite R12.1.3, linking transactional ledgers, HR records, purchase-to-pay flows, order management transactions, and supply chain master data into analytic pipelines. The deployment aligned analytic subject areas to the enterprise functions of HR, finance, procurement, order management, and supply chain, enabling standardized reporting and analytics access through Oracle E-Business Suite driven data feeds and OBIEE dashboards.

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Power BI | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2016 | 2018 |
Nintendo implemented Microsoft Power BI in 2016 to centralize reporting, forecasting and analytic workflows. The implementation established Analytics and BI capabilities intended to support product management, finance and retail operations across the company.
The deployment focused on development of forecasting models, business reporting and database management using Microsoft Power BI and SQL query coding. Functional capabilities implemented included in-depth product and cost analysis, product launch strategy support, product life-cycle management and leadership for cost savings projects, with Power BI reporting used alongside existing Oracle OBIEE and Tableau dashboard assets.
Operational integration leveraged SQL data pipelines, SharePoint content management and data from the TINYpulse engagement tool to inform reporting and analysis. The implementation supported operational use cases such as researching and resolving retailer and consumer registration and returns issues, activity analysis for dealer returns and repair programs, and an industry trends analysis workflow tied to product launch and E3 convention experience.
Governance centered on formalizing product life-cycle management and reporting ownership for cost savings and returns resolution processes, and on establishing standards for SQL query coding and dashboard delivery. Microsoft Power BI served as the primary Analytics and BI reporting layer to instrument these workflows and to unify analyst-facing reporting across the cited functional areas.
