eClinicalWorks Legacy eClinicalWorks Cloud EHR Electronic Health Record ERP Services and Operations n/a 2015 2015
In 2015 Northern Ohio Medical Specialists (NOMS) implemented eClinicalWorks Cloud EHR in the Electronic Health Record category. The 2015 program included a structured conversion from Nextgen to eClinicalWorks Cloud EHR and an enterprise rollout of an online patient care portal, with the IT Application Director in Sandusky Ohio directly leading the EHR software conversion team and provider office onboards. Project governance was embedded into existing IT operations to align clinical and administrative workflows with the new cloud EHR. The eClinicalWorks Cloud EHR deployment was configured to support core Electronic Health Record capabilities, including clinical documentation, patient engagement via the online portal, and billing workflow orchestration. Configuration effort emphasized template standardization, clinician documentation workflows, and patient portal provisioning for newly onboarded providers. The implementation also addressed document scanning and indexing as part of records conversion managed by a team of IT Analysts and Document Scanners. Integrations implemented alongside the eClinicalWorks Cloud EHR included clearinghouse connectivity for the Billing Department with a conversion to TriZetto, and operational coordination with Kronos for employee timecard and time off processes managed by the IT Application Director. The rollout covered provider office onboards across NOMS Healthcare sites and linked clinical operations to revenue cycle processing through the configured clearinghouse path. Internal support was organized through a monitored help desk to handle post go live issues and user support. Governance and process changes were driven by the IT Application Director who hired, trained, supervised, and evaluated IT staff, approved time off, managed vendor contracts, and prepared progress and budget reports for upper management. Training and wrap up meetings were formalized for all new provider office onboards to standardize workflows and reduce variation in clinical and billing processes. Vendor relationship review and contract management were used to reduce costs and spending while establishing ongoing support commitments for the cloud EHR. Operational controls included active monitoring of IT application operations and identification and elimination of security risks as part of the eClinicalWorks Cloud EHR program. Support structures, inventory management, and centralized help desk procedures were maintained to sustain clinical availability and administrative continuity after deployment.

Epic Systems Legacy Epic Cadence Online Meeting Scheduling Collaboration n/a 2022 2022
In 2022, Northern Ohio Medical Specialists (NOMS) implemented Epic Cadence for Online Meeting Scheduling. The deployment was scoped to support organizational scheduling and patient access across its clinical practices, reflecting the needs of a 650 employee healthcare group. The EPIC Application Coordinator role led build creation and validation for the launch of Epic Cadence. Configuration and build work focused on core scheduling capabilities, including scheduling rules, appointment templates, and patient self-scheduling workflows consistent with Online Meeting Scheduling functionality. Team members studied for and passed EpicCare Cadence, MyChart, Prelude, and Welcome certifications, and earned badges for Data Courier Mover, Patient-Entered Data, and Security Workgroup, which informed security and data handling configurations. The project created and developed a new build to support the launch and performed systematic build testing along with integrated testing across involved teams. The implementation aligned Epic Cadence with Epic MyChart and Prelude modules to coordinate patient-facing scheduling, registration intake, and downstream clinical access workflows. Build tasks included research and development on assigned Orion tasks and development of requested builds and enhancements to meet upgrade deadlines and design needs. Governance used structured integrated testing cycles and Orion task tracking to manage design changes, build validation, and upgrade coordination, with the EPIC Application Coordinator overseeing change control and validation. Security Workgroup and Data Courier Mover certifications informed access controls and data movement policies implemented during rollout. Ongoing build maintenance and iterative enhancements were planned to support subsequent Epic upgrade cycles.
