In 2020, Nordzucker implemented SAP S/4 HANA as part of an ERP Financial transformation. The SAP S/4 HANA program ran from 2020 to 2022 and was governed by a Group Project Lead accountable for group working processes in Sales and Logistics.
The implementation centered on SAP S/4 HANA functional coverage for Sales and Distribution, Materials Management and Quality Management, with explicit stewardship of Sales and Logistics master data including pricing, materials, contracts and customer master. The Group Key User role for the CMO area led a global team focused on digitization and harmonization of processes, and that role shaped configuration and master data standards across those modules.
Operational scope extended to supply chain management activities across Europe, where a Supply Chain unit was managed in parallel to the SAP S/4 HANA rollout. The project aligned SAP S/4 HANA workflows with Salesforce CRM in Sales and Logistics working processes, ensuring process orchestration between CRM and core ERP modules.
Governance was formalized through a change advisory board that prioritized IT developments and a key user network that supported rollout and process adoption. Senior project management responsibilities covered SAP S/4 HANA and related CRM initiatives, while logistics strategy development guided organizational setup, system usage and innovative supply chain solutions.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP HCM (HR) | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2013 | 2013 |
In 2013, Nordzucker implemented SAP HCM (HR) as its Core HR system. The implementation established a centralized personnel administration and payroll foundation to support HR operations across the organization.
Subsequent programmatic work focused on configuration and functional extensions of SAP HCM (HR), including customization and further development of PA, PT and PY for Germany, and support for HR reporting via SAP-BW/Portal. Between 2020 and 2022 Nordzucker implemented S/HANA including HR Fiori Apps, and deployed a Digital Personnel File with PeopleDoc, reflecting an evolution of the SAP HCM landscape.
Integrations and operational coverage were explicitly designed for a multi-country footprint covering Germany, Denmark, Finland, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia and Sweden, with interface design and connection work to SAP HR/HCM modules. The extended HR architecture incorporated workforce planning through ATOSS and the introduction of SuccessFactors 360 degree feedback as complementary components.
Governance and operationalization encompassed adaptation and test management for new and existing HR-IT applications, harmonization and consolidation of HR systems, key user training, and collaboration with the works council to establish work agreements. These governance and rollout activities supported ongoing support and innovative further development of the Core HR platform.
