SSI Group Legacy SSI Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management Revenue Cycle Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2021 2022
In 2021, Northern Regional Hospital expanded its use of SSI Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management to consolidate disparate hospital and physician-practice billing systems and centralize billing operations for Revenue Cycle Management in its finance and revenue cycle functions. The implementation extended SSI's revenue cycle and professional claims processing solutions to unify workflows across inpatient and professional billing streams at the Mount Airy, North Carolina site. Configuration emphasized professional claims processing and consolidated billing workflows, with explicit support for enrollment and edits translation as operational capabilities. The deployment leveraged standard Revenue Cycle Management functional workflows including claims creation and submission, edits translation for payer rules, and centralized billing orchestration to reduce fragmentation between hospital and physician practice billing processes. The SSI Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management implementation integrated directly with MEDITECH Expanse EHR to enable end to end charge capture and to streamline patient and encounter data flow into billing processes, supporting finance and revenue cycle teams. Operational coverage was focused on the Mount Airy facility and associated physician-practice billing, aligning clinical source records with revenue operations for more consistent claims processing. Governance included consolidation of previously separate billing workflows into a unified operational model and ongoing support processes for enrollment and edits translation. SSI reported faster reimbursement and operational efficiencies as key outcomes following the go live, and the vendor continues to provide support for enrollment and edits translation post implementation.
