The engagement was executed with an MDM onsite lead serving as Business Analyst and Functional Lead for the materials MDM project, coordinating requirements and design for item master data within the Enterprise Asset Management context.
The implementation work centered on materials master and item attribute harmonization, detailed requirement gathering for items and attributes, and creation of extraction and load design artifacts. The team produced data mapping for item loads, defined List of Values table structures for items, and formalized design documentation to drive ETL and master data harmonization processes, reflecting core Enterprise Asset Management data governance needs.
Integrations and data sourcing included detailed requirements for extracting item and attribute data from SAP, ORACLE, AS400 and MAXIMO as source systems, with exposure to Informatica Analyst and Developer tools for extraction and load orchestration. Operational coverage focused on the materials stream, aligning IBM Maximo record structures with source-system item masters to support materials management, procurement, and inventory record consistency.
Governance and process work was led through Business Analyst and Functional Lead activities, producing design documents and harmonization rules to enable ongoing data stewardship for item masters. The effort emphasized stable mapping, standardized value lists, and extraction/load design to support IBM Maximo as the Enterprise Asset Management application and to establish repeatable master data workflows.
