SAP Legacy SAP ERP ECC 6.0 ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2017 2017
In 2017 Oakley implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its core enterprise resource planning platform, positioning the deployment within the ERP Financial category to support retail, e-commerce, and wholesale financial and order fulfillment processes. SAP ERP ECC 6.0 was used as the transactional and master data backbone for order to cash and financial posting across commercial channels. The implementation encompassed SAP Fashion Management Solution FMS for e-commerce, SAP ECC with AFS functionality for the sports channel, and extensive SD configuration work supporting OTC solution architecture. Implementation activities included As-Is and To-Be process workshops, requirement gathering, configuration, gap analysis, testing, and user acceptance testing, with master data conversions executed using a DTMT tool. Architecturally the program integrated SAP ERP ECC 6.0 with a Hybris front end for oakley.com and used Semarchy as middleware for master and transactional data orchestration, with SAP serving as the backend order fulfillment system. Interfaces were designed and deployed for master and transactional data flows, and integration testing proceeded through unit integration testing, UAT, and production support phases, with regional rollouts planned for NA, EMEA, and APAC. Governance and rollout governance centered on multiple workshops and stakeholder presentations to align As-Is and To-Be processes, formalized testing cycles, and structured user training prior to go live. Post go-live support and stabilization were part of the operational plan, with dedicated SD support and OTC solution architecture roles driving business process adoption. Operational coverage spanned Oakley e-commerce for oakley.com, wholesale implementations for Oliver Peoples, and sports channel operations configured into new company codes for North America under a project identified as Project Moonshot. The deployment affected commercial, e-commerce, and finance functions, consolidating order fulfillment and master data processes into SAP ERP ECC 6.0.

SAP Legacy SAP Apparel and Footwear (SAP AFS) Retail Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2011 2011
In 2011, Oakley, subsidiary of EssilorLuxottica, implemented SAP Apparel and Footwear (SAP AFS) as part of a Retail Management program, with a techno functional engagement focused on SAP AFS SD from August 2011 to September 2012. The engagement concentrated on configuration and rigorous testing cycles to support order to cash, supply chain allocation and finance workflows under the SAP Apparel and Footwear application. The implementation covered SAP AFS SD configuration and scenario based testing of legal entity functionalities for a Chart of Account conversion project, with LE testing scenarios defined and results maintained in HP Quality Center. Functional workstreams included configuring coverage strategy and testing its interaction with ATP, backorder rescheduling and ARUN, and designing FI substitution rule and pricing condition logic to ensure cost of goods sold and revenue postings could align on the same day for Brazil export flows. Integrations and operational interfaces were a core signal, implementing inbound and outbound EDI cross dock processes with Canada’s largest customer via a consolidator, and defining order to cash and cross dock processes for consolidated invoices. The program specified special value added service labels for the distribution center, upgraded IDOC monitoring programs, and coordinated handoffs between developers, business teams and testing teams to validate end to end flows within SAP Apparel and Footwear. Governance and rollout activities emphasized structured testing and program review, including maintaining test artifacts in HP Quality Center, reviewing a complex global delivery program with proposals for enhancements, and coordinating process definitions across finance, sales and supply chain functions. The assignment was executed as a techno functional consultancy engagement, embedding SAP AFS operational terminology and controls into Oakley’s Retail Management processes.
