In 2022, Olist Brazil implemented DataVision FinNext Islamic, a Core Banking application deployed to support retail finance operations and customer account management across its Brazilian business. The deployment emphasized the DataVision FinNext Islamic application’s role in handling core ledger functionality and Sharia compliant product workflows for an online retail marketplace.
Configuration focused on standard Core Banking modules, including deposit and payout engines, customer accounts and KYC workflows, payment orchestration and transaction posting, reconciliation and general ledger integration, and Islamic finance capabilities such as profit sharing and Sharia compliance controls. The implementation included role based access controls, workflow automation for account opening and settlement processes, and configurable compliance reporting consistent with banking ledger and regulatory requirements.
Operational scope covered finance, payments, treasury and customer service teams within Brazil, with IT operations responsible for application lifecycle management and incident procedures. Governance established operational runbooks, approval workflows for financial transactions, and separation of duties to align banking controls with the new Core Banking platform.
Separately, Olist used the Cybereason Defense Platform together with Cybereason MDR to reduce alert overload and shorten triage and remediation from over 24 hours to under 30 minutes, improving visibility across approximately 2,100 endpoints and enabling ransomware protection testing. The case study cites Enterprise, NGAV and MDR capabilities, and XDR usage is inferred from the unified platform deployment, with the project focused on IT and security operations in Brazil and delivering measurable SOC efficiency gains.
