Virto Commerce Legacy Virto Commerce eCommerce eCommerce n/a 2023 2025
In 2023 OMNIA Partners selected Virto Commerce to build OPUS, a cloud-based procurement marketplace designed for public-sector buyers across the United States. The deployment used Virto Commerce as the core eCommerce platform to centralize cooperative purchasing workflows and supplier catalog distribution for OMNIA Partners. The implementation focused on procurement marketplace modules and capabilities typical of an eCommerce deployment, including catalog management able to support millions of SKUs, workflow-driven approvals, configurable supplier interactions, and marketplace purchasing orchestration. Virto Commerce was configured to expose supplier routing logic through QuickConnect supplier routing, enabling automated request flows and supplier-directed order handling within the OPUS marketplace. Architecturally the solution was provisioned as a cloud-hosted marketplace with phased scaling through 2025, providing a multi-tenant facing catalog and procurement experience for public agencies. Operational coverage targeted public-sector buyers and procurement teams across the United States, extending service coverage to more than 14,000 public agencies and centralizing cooperative purchasing across participating entities. Governance and rollout emphasized procurement process standardization and approval workflow restructuring, aligning buyer and supplier touch points on a single platform. Reported outcomes included measurable faster procurements and expanded agency coverage, with Virto Commerce serving as the eCommerce backbone for OMNIA Partners OPUS marketplace.
