In 2014, OSB Group implemented Infor SunSystems as its ERP Financial application to consolidate group finance functions and standardize core accounting processes. The deployment of Infor SunSystems targeted central finance operations under the Group Financial Controller, with Infor SunSystems positioned as the system of record for transaction posting and statutory reporting.
The implementation configured core ERP Financial capabilities typical of the category, including general ledger processing, accounts payable automation, accounts receivable workflows and consolidated financial reporting. Eclipse Group served as the systems integrator and BlackLine consultancy partner, leveraging their existing knowledge of Infor SunSystems to align reconciliation and close automation design with OSB Group finance requirements. The engagement included consultancy to map finance processes into automated reconciliation and close workflows, and to operationalize data flows between Infor SunSystems and the BlackLine close and reconciliation environment.
Governance and process workstreams were led by finance and Eclipse Group to redesign month end and reconciliation procedures, with Eclipse providing ongoing advisory and responsiveness during rollout. Gavin Slater, Group Financial Controller, attributed a large degree of OSB Groups successes on BlackLine to the relationship with Eclipse, noting the partners deep understanding of Infor SunSystems and close alignment to finance requirements.
