In 2015, OpenText implemented SAP S/4 HANA Finance to address global indirect tax processing within its finance organization. The deployment targeted core ERP Financial capabilities for tax determination and transaction posting across global finance operations, with workstreams covering business requirements gathering, requirements analysis, design, build and deployment of the tax solution.
The SAP S/4 HANA Finance implementation included configuration of finance functional areas aligned to ERP Financial workflows, including tax determination, tax posting, and integration points within accounts payable and accounts receivable transaction flows. The design emphasized standardized master data for tax codes and rate maintenance, automated tax calculation within invoice processing, and audit-ready tax posting to the general ledger.
The project integrated SAP S/4 HANA Finance with the Vertex O series external tax engine, implementing external tax calculation calls from transactional processing into Vertex O series and returning tax amounts for posting. Governance and rollout were managed through the stated responsibilities, with the team performing requirements gathering through to deployment for a global indirect tax solution, and change controls aligned to finance process owners and tax compliance stakeholders.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Compensation | Compensation Management | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, OpenText implemented SAP SuccessFactors Compensation as part of a broader SAP SuccessFactors program targeting core HR and pay processes. The deployment positioned SAP SuccessFactors Compensation within a hybrid environment, integrating cloud-based SuccessFactors modules with existing on premise SAP applications to centralize compensation planning and employee record management, and the narrative specifically references Compensation Management as the application category.
The implementation emphasized CORE EC, Employee Central driven ESS and MSS self service, and the Compensation HBA module, with explicit responsibility for Foundation Objects and custom MDF objects. SAP SuccessFactors Compensation was configured to support employee data structures and compensation worksheets, and configuration work included custom MDF object design and FO object ownership to align with enterprise HR data models.
Integrations focused on bi directional data flows between on premise SAP systems and SAP SuccessFactors, enabling employee data management and a structured migration across 35 countries. The operational scope centered on HR and HR operations, with data migration activities covering employee master records and compensation-related attributes to establish a single source of truth for payroll input and compensation administration.
Governance was organized around MDF object stewardship and cross country data governance, with role based access and ESS MSS workflows to standardize approvals and compensation cycles. The implementation narrative highlights global rollout coordination, centralized configuration of FO and MDF artifacts, and ongoing management and optimization of both the cloud SuccessFactors estate and the on premise SAP elements that remained in scope.
