Teams executed design and fit gap analysis, build, test and deployment activities, and conducted working sessions and summits to consolidate business requirements across commercial, operational and regulatory stakeholders. SAP S/4 HANA was integrated into an ecosystem that included ECC, CRM and GTS systems, and interfaced with third party logistics for global shipment orchestration. The engagement also covered support packages, data refresh and upgrade projects in collaboration with internal IT teams, and ongoing production support and enhancements managed using Agile methodologies. Governance and quality controls were formalized through Ortho’s Global Execution Methodology, with documented configuration, test control and release practices. The program managed Quality Compliance, SOX controls, GxP obligations, Rational test validation and non validation test regimes, and executed system testing and user acceptance testing while addressing business impacting critical incidents and service requests. The project role emphasized IT to business relationship management, acting as a synergist across distribution, supply chain and regulatory functions, and continuing work on region specific requirements such as European Union Brexit impacts on tax, VAT and Intrastat in the SAP system.

Operational coverage included HR Shared Services in the United States and overseas locations, enabling centralized absence case management, reporting, and escalations through shared services channels. Governance changes established HR Shared Services and workforce analytics to centralize leave administration and support policy enforcement and senior management reporting. Implementation activities documented in the engagement included RFP preparation, contract evaluation, implementer selection, Workday NSC, and functional deployment across HR, Absence, Time Tracking, Talent, Performance, Advanced Comp., and portions of US Payroll.

Ongoing tasks comprised researching system problems, providing functional and technical architecture guidance to the implementation team, and providing support for expansion of IBM Maximo capabilities within Ortho Clinical Diagnostics.
