In 2022, Oryx GTL Qatar implemented Aspen InfoPlus.21 as an Asset Performance Management solution to support plant operations and performance monitoring at the Ras Laffan GTL facility in Qatar. The deployment positioned Aspen InfoPlus.21 as the central historian and operational data backbone for process and production monitoring. The implementation collected datasets from distributed control system process data, laboratory information management system lab data, safety system feeds, weather inputs, and asset monitoring instrumentation, consolidating time series and event data into the IP.21 historian. Aspen InfoPlus.21 provided high frequency data capture and contextualization consistent with Asset Performance Management workflows. Visualization and analytics were delivered through aspenONE Process Explorer to generate monitoring reports, process graphics and operational dashboards. The project integrated directly with onsite DCS sources and LIMS interfaces, plus safety and environmental feeds, enabling a unified data stream for operations and process engineering teams. IP.21 historian feeds were used to drive both near real time monitoring and historical analytics. The scope remained focused on the Ras Laffan production site, aligning data ownership with plant operations and performance monitoring functions. Operational governance emphasized centralized historian management and standardized monitoring reports to support consistent process performance review cycles. The combined Aspen InfoPlus.21 and aspenONE Process Explorer environment established a single source of truth for time series data and visualization at the Ras Laffan GTL facility.
