In 2021, Ottobock US deployed InvGate Assets as its IT asset management platform. InvGate Assets was implemented to support Hardware Asset Management (HAM),Software Asset Management (SAM),IT Asset Management (ITAM),SaaS Spend Management across Ottobock Healthcare, LP operations in Austin, TX and to support inhouse and remote users.
The implementation centered on device and software inventory, endpoint agent deployment for Windows 10 and MacOS machines, and mobile device inventory for iPhone, iPad and Android devices. Functional capabilities exercised included automated discovery and inventory, software metering and license tracking, asset lifecycle and assignment records, and configuration workflows for provisioning new laptops and desktops.
InvGate Assets was integrated with Active Directory for user and security group mapping, and with the ServiceNow ticketing system used for support and onboarding workflows. The environment also aligned asset records with Office 365 applications, Adobe Admin Portal and Creative Cloud asset assignments, Salesforce and Prophet 21 references, network posture tooling such as Cisco AnyConnect VPN and Sophos Anti Virus, voice and collaboration endpoints managed via Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Cisco Jabber, and conferencing clients including Zoom. Administration data from the AT&T company account portal for mobile plans was referenced during device provisioning.
Operational governance emphasized tying asset assignments to AD user provisioning and ServiceNow tickets to enforce lifecycle workflows during new hire setup and device decommissioning, with the IT Desktop Analyst in Austin operating InvGate Assets as part of daily device imaging, software installation, and ongoing endpoint support. The deployment supported a mix of on premise and remote endpoint management workflows, and was used alongside existing software administration processes for Office 365 and Adobe Creative Suite.
