| IFS | Legacy | IFS ERP | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, Oxford Biomedica implemented IFS ERP as its ERP Financial application. The IFS ERP deployment was positioned as the companywide financial system supporting reporting and operational finance workflows across functions within the life sciences organization.
Functional implementation focused on financial and reporting capabilities alongside analytics, with IFS ERP integrated into a BI-led reporting layer. The team linked QlikSense to IFS ERP to enable query, extraction, and visualization of transactional and master data, and configured dashboards that allow users to monitor efficiency, contain and mitigate errors, and manage workloads. Reporting outputs were formalized into project workstreams that drive action and improvement through ongoing configuration and dashboard iteration.
Integrations explicitly included QlikSense connected to IFS ERP and other IT data sources such as Q-Pulse, MS Access, and Patentsafe to support cross-functional reporting requirements. Operational coverage extended across OXB departments, laboratory initiatives, and manufacturing site planning activities, with the same reporting and data extraction approach used to surface issues and inform work allocation.
Governance and process controls were implemented through documented requirements, As Is and To Be process mapping, and managed user requirements and functional specifications for related projects. The program recorded implementation progress to provide a data trail for review and to prove suitability and reliability, and projects such as the Laboratory Information Management System rollout used URS and FS documentation and prototyping to capture detailed lab requirements.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020, Oxford Biomedica implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. The deployment established SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as the company Core HR system to centralize employee master data for roughly 800 UK employees and a small US headcount, positioning the application as the authoritative personnel record.
Configuration work concentrated on employee master data, pay component modeling and benefits election management, supporting multiple pay elements including base salary, allowances, shift allowances, overtime, bonus, share scheme payments and salary sacrifice schemes. Benefits administration was implemented to manage private medical insurance, SAYE, GAYE, salary sacrifice pension, cycle to work, health cash back and share scheme enrollment, while the system also captured US payroll attributes to support 401k administration for the small US population.
Operational use extended to support payroll processing workflows for UK payroll of approximately 800 employees and US payroll for about four employees, with HR staff administering changes on SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and building and running scheduled and ad hoc people analytics reports. Reporting and analytics covered monthly headcount, turnover and absence metrics, gender pay gap reporting and complex compensation and bonus modelling, with exported datasets used for deeper spreadsheet analysis.
Governance and day to day HR operations were centralized through HR, including management of a shared HR inbox, drafting contract amendments and employee correspondence, completion and auditing of Right to Work checks and controlled change management for system updates and reporting access. Role based administration and formalized workflows were used to coordinate compensation reviews, bonus modelling and escalation of employee queries, embedding SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central into HR, payroll, benefits and compliance functions.

| Salesforce | Legacy | Salesforce Field Service (ex ClickSoftware) | Field Service Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, Oxford Biomedica implemented Salesforce Field Service (ex ClickSoftware) as its Field Service Management solution to standardize on-site service orchestration across its manufacturing and laboratory environment. The deployment was positioned alongside a broader IT program that included QlikSense BI linking to IFS ERP, Q-Pulse, MS Access and Patentsafe, and a subsequent Laboratory Information Management System project where user requirements and functional specifications were developed.
The implementation focused on configuring core Field Service Management capabilities, including work order lifecycle management, technician dispatch and scheduling, mobile technician access for job execution, service appointment coordination, and asset and inventory tracking at site level. Salesforce Field Service (ex ClickSoftware) was configured to support standard field workflows, job completion reporting and service history capture to align with operational maintenance and lab equipment servicing needs.
Operational coverage targeted site-level maintenance across OXB's developing manufacturing sites and laboratory facilities, leveraging existing process documentation and floor plan work used during site expansion. The project ran in parallel with business intelligence and LIMS activities led by internal business analysts, ensuring data visibility and operational alignment between service activities and enterprise reporting systems.
Governance for the rollout applied business analyst practices already in use at Oxford Biomedica, including As Is and To Be process mapping, requirements capture, URS and functional specification artifacts, and prototype-driven validation for configuration decisions. Documentation, SmartDraw process and floorplan artifacts, and GxP-aligned controls were used to record configuration choices and to support compliance reviews during the Field Service Management implementation.
