Infrastructure and platform coverage spanned IBM AIX and RHEL for Oracle databases, and Windows environments for MS SQL Server 2014 2012 2008R2 and 2008, including installation and configuration of SQL 2012 SP2 on Windows 2012. Database refresh and provisioning used Active Duplication to refresh many 11gR2 Development Test and UAT databases from Production, while RSYNC was used to copy application and database file systems from PROD to DEV as part of EBS cloning. The team also addressed issues within WebLogic and Oracle SOA Suite as part of stack level support. Operational controls emphasized backup restore and performance monitoring, with a backup and restore strategy implemented using DDBOOST and monitoring performed with Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c and SolarWinds DPA. Database performance management included Database and Instance Tuning, Application and SQL Tuning, and Operating System Tuning. Automation efforts included automating the Oracle EBS cloning process for both database and application layers across 11.5.10.2 and R12 instances. Governance and ongoing operations centered on supporting and maintaining Oracle Applications 11.5.10.2 and R12 instances in production and non production environments, with database administration covering design modeling development and support for MS SQL Server across Production and Development. The deployment positioned Oracle E-Business Suite as the core ERP Financial system with structured operational processes for cloning backup restore and around the clock DBA coverage.
