In 2018, Parker Towing Company implemented GreenShades Benefits Administration to centralize Benefits Administration for its roughly 450 employees in the United States. GreenShades Benefits Administration was provisioned as the primary system to manage health, dental, vision, life insurance and retirement plan elections, with explicit support for self insured health plan administration and 401k enrollment tracking. The implementation aligned the application to the company human resources function and employee self service processes to support onboarding and ongoing benefits inquiries.
Configured functional capabilities included open enrollment orchestration, life event and qualifying event processing, COBRA administration, ACA compliance reporting, benefits data management and auditing, and employee communications and education workflows. The GreenShades Benefits Administration deployment also hosted reporting and ad hoc extraction capabilities to produce utilization and benefits election summaries for HR review. Configuration emphasized benefits data integrity and enrollment controls to support federal and state compliance requirements.
Operational integrations were implemented to synchronize benefits election and life event records with the company HRIS and with external benefits vendor portals and plan administrators, enabling vendor management workflows and reconciliation of self insured plan feeds. The deployment covered companywide employee groups and routed benefit inquiries through HR case handling and the benefits administration team, making the HR Generalist the primary operational owner for day to day benefits administration.
